You already know your way around a wheel. What you need is time and a proper studio. On Friday afternoons our atelier in Delft is yours: bring whatever you're working on, sit down at a wheel, and use our tools and kiln. €20 for the session, and the coffee's already on.

Independent studio time

This is for people who've got the basics down and just want room to work. There's no lesson, no plan we hand you. You bring your own pieces and we give you the space, the wheels and the kiln to get on with it.

Els is around the whole time, so if a piece keeps going off-centre or you're not sure a wall is thin enough, ask. Most folks land here after a few rounds of our weekly classes, once the wheel stops fighting back.

Who is Open Studio for?

People who already know the basics and would rather work on their own things than follow a lesson. If you can centre clay and shape a pot without much hand-holding, you'll be right at home here.

How much is an Open Studio session?

It's €20 for the session if you're a regular. Clay is €13 per 10kg, and we charge for firing by the piece.

Can I start with Open Studio as a beginner?

Better to do a few weekly classes or a Clay Cafe first. Once you're comfortable on the wheel and not still wrestling with centering, Open Studio makes a lot more sense.
