Weekly Pottery Classes in Delft

Come and learn pottery with us, week by week, in a small group where nobody is in a hurry. Some of you arrive having never touched clay; others come back season after season. Els has been teaching for over thirty years, and she'll meet you wherever you are.

Learn pottery, week by week

Real skill takes time, and that's the whole point of a weekly class. One week you're fighting to centre a lump of clay on the wheel; a few weeks later your hands just know where to push. You'll throw on the wheel, build by hand with coils and slabs, and glaze the pieces you've made once they come out of the kiln.

We keep groups to six people so Els can actually sit down next to you when you're stuck. Come once to see if you like it, or keep coming and watch your shelf at home slowly fill up with things you made yourself.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need experience to join a pottery class?

No. Most people who walk through our door have never made a thing in clay, and that's fine. With only six in the group, beginners get plenty of time with Els and never feel left behind.

How much do pottery classes cost in Delft?

It's €20 for a single session, or €100 for a 5-lesson card. Clay is €13 per 10kg, and we charge for firing per piece.

When are the classes?

Thursday evenings from 19:00 to 21:30, and Friday and Saturday mornings from 9:30 to 12:00.

Can I try a single class first?

Of course. Book one session, see how it feels, and decide afterwards whether you want a lesson card. Just let us know which day suits you.
